Most Versatile Farming Builds....
I'm having trouble deciding what to make as a farming character. I see that many combos of farmers can only farm one or two spots efficiently. I'm looking for one that is on a broader spectrum.
I like seeing a lot of numbers, so aoe is a plus.
But also I want to be able to do normal farming runs (hard mode ascalon, farming bosses, etc)
Any help would be appreciated. I mean every time I see a new build, and a video of it, I'm like, how cool is that, and I start one, then I see another video, and the cycle goes on and on.
I did manage to make a 55 monk, but since I don't have HM in either factions or prophecies, I'm really not able to make that much money. And using skills for 55ing to heal in the last 3 missions of prophecies, is proving to be hellacious. (I have the regular amount of health btw, when I am trying to heal.)

I'd say be diverse. I have five different characters with farming builds for different situations: Monk, Necro, Warrior, Ele and Dervish. favorite is 55 Monk btw. Good luck.

P.S. Forgot about Sin.

my favorite farming build of recent, is the 55 SV necro. 2 reasons. 1: u can solo farm certain bosses without getting aggrovated that they heal, because SV, combined with Insidious paradise take HEALTH insteand of deal damage;2: its very fasts and doesnt knock down, which can slow a farming process, like the 55 monk. ive actually found a decent spot in factions(better on HM) but still works w/o it, is in Nahpui Quarter. one of my officers will hate me for this if he reads this ^^. best of luck!

First thing is this, you should have a second set of Max Armor for your monk for normal PvE play. Your 55 armor should be middle range (AL 35) so its cheap. Your max armor should be whatever you want it to be...
I agree with Wraith. I have a blast using my 55 SV necro. I Farm with him as well as AB. However, I also have a 55 set-up for my monk that i like to farm the standard Invinci-monk areas with. I like farming with my Ele as well; there are several Ele farming builds. In short, there is no one class farming build that will satisfy the itch. Once you start, its all about trying new things; at least it is for me. I don't make much money... I maintain about 50k in storage, lol, stupid keys. But I just love trying things out.
One sad note... I was having an absolute BLAST farming the Hidden Shrines outside of Remains of Sahlajra (man, thats a hard one to spell). I had done about 10 runs in HM(without a single Ele sword drop, btw.) Then you know what I did... I logged on one night last week and forgot what my character was doing in Bone Palace. I saw the glowing green star over Palawa Joko's head and went and talked to him and accepted a reward before I realized what I had done.... Now, I can't farm the shrines anymore... I am so torn up about it I am thinking of deleting my Ele and starting all over again...

55 necro? hellz yeah!
55 Necros are one of my favorite builds ever to play. you can run Spiteful Spirit, Spoil Victor (as mentioned earlier) or AoTl / Dark Aura. you can bring a 55 necro to so many places, including Hard Mode FoW / UW, which i don't think and other build can say. (55 SS is used for those places, with slight variations) if you want to run a 55 necro and farm aound, i suggest you check out my 55 necro guide, found here.
anyways, the best of luck with your farming!

I would make a monk or a necromancer. A 55hp necromancer can farm several things in GW while solo, while a monk can farm solo or duo.
If you're only looking for versatility, I would probably go with the monk. The necromancer is sometimes faster, but the monk will let you solo/duo more things, more easily.

55hp Necro. Why? Spiteful Spirit + Spoil Victor. A 55hp Necro can farm most of the bosses in HM, to get greenies and elite tomes using Spoil Victor. It should take ~15 seconds for a boss to drop using SV (maybe combined with Insidious Parasite). SS (Spiteful Spirit) can farm very many other spots where no bosses are. Fahranur, Hidden City, Titans, Insects, Luxon Sins, Jade Brotherhood Knights, UW solo HM, FoW solo HM etc. etc... If you want to go for the Underworld Smite Crawler runs (NM) you should make a Rit. Rits also come in handy for other HM areas like Minister Cho's. All in all, 55hp Necros are the most versatile farmers and outperform a 55hp Monk anytime (SS is way faster than SoJ).

Agree
&
Added:
Monk = Versatility - does all
Nerco = Needs monk skills 95% of times to farm
Warrior = Versatile- great for areas with enchantment removal enemies.

Warriors are pretty versatile and a good char to start off farming with. Once you learn the basics of how a monster operates then it's probably better moving on to 55ing.
